Our Story

 Bolt & Nut Supply Co. began as an idea taken from the past experience of Scott and his father, Bill.  While working for another bolt company, it was discovered there was a good opportunity to make a profit selling to "the guy on the street."  That's how it began and now they not only service the public, but the greater part of their business services a diverse group of commercial, business, and governmental interests.

In July of 1977, the first store was leased. It was filled with merchandise and the necessary documentation was obtained for business. By April of 1978, with Scott as President and brother Craig as Vice President, the doors were opened for business. Scott oversees the entire business and has operated many of the stores at various time throughout the history of the business. Craig operated the Salt Lake store until his retirement in 2020. Today, Scott can be found in the Salt Lake store as he operates the business with capable managers at the helm of all stores. 

The Ogden store had it's origins on Wall Avenue beginning October of 1981. Kent, brother to Scott, had just returned home from a mission serving the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint in South Africa. He was attending school at Weber State University majoring in Business Management. The customer base had expanded to Ogden, and Kent was the man to fill the job.

 Later in 2004, the company now needing warehouse space as well as a new location for Ogden, found land and built a storefront & warehouse in West Haven.  In the summer of 2004 the new West Haven location opened for business. It was operated by Kent until he passed away in 2015. Kent is missed each and every day.  Our company has been blessed with many wonderful employees and Mark was able to step in as manager of the West Haven store after Kent passed away.  

Scott opened the Midvale store in 1991, got it on its feet and running profitable. Today Jonathan operates the store. In 2020 Jonathan became Vice President of the company.

Scott opened the Bangerter-West Valley store in 2008. It is operated by our capable manager Justin.

We have now operated our fastener supplier business for 40+ years. We are grateful to be able to serve our 9000+ customers and appreciate their business and loyalty throughout the years.
